Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (Nov. 2) – Trey Starks is recovering and says he will be ready to race in a couple of weeks.
He sustained a concussion in a crash at the 18th annual Trophy Cup at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., on Oct. 22. After going to the hospital that night in California, he visited the doctor last week.
“I just had some headaches,” he said. “I felt off all last week.”
The 15-year-old from Puyallup, Wash., returned to the doctor on Wednesday for more precautionary tests before he returns to the seat of his sprint car. However, Starks said the headaches have passed and he feels back to normal.
“I feel great,” he said. “I’ve been resting and not doing very much. We should be ready going into New Mexico.”
After taking this weekend off, Starks will return with two consecutive weeks of racing with the ASCS National Tour. He’ll compete at Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, N.M., on Nov. 11-12 and at USA Raceway in Tucson, Ariz., on Nov. 17-19.
