Inside Line Promotions - FORNEY, Texas (June 10, 2013) - The parts have arrived and the frame will return shortly to start a long week for John Binz.
After destroying his nonwing mini sprint during a series of violent flips on May 31 at Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas, Binz spent last week tearing apart the damaged race car. He ordered the new parts and sent his chassis to be straightened.
"Last week was the easy week pulling all of the damaged parts off the car," he said. "This week will be the long one putting everything back together and getting ready to race.
"I want to thank Kaleb with Triple X Race Components and Brett with Precise Racing Products for getting everything shipped to me. If I can find a little sponsor help, I think we will be back out this weekend."
With some help and a dedicated work week, Binz hopes to return to the track on Friday at Kennedale Speedway Park when the nonwing mini sprints will serve as a support series for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour as it opens the Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek.
"I haven't raced in front of many big crowds, so I'm hoping I can find a little help to make it out this weekend," he said. "It'd be great to represent my sponsors with so many eyes watching."
