Inside Line Promotions – HELENA, Mont. (June 18, 2020) – Rich Bailey will make his first sprint car start in approximately a dozen years on Friday.
Bailey is driving for Mike Quigley during a Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series event at Electric City Speedway in Great Falls, Mont.
“I used to race back in California,” he said. “This is my first time getting back in a car in 12 years. It’s something I’ve always liked doing. My family built race engines my whole life and I raced when I was younger in Northern California. Now I’m in a position to get back into it.”
Bailey has recently served as a crew member for Montana driver Trever Kirkland.
“I hopped in a 360 to hot lap last year and it went pretty good,” Bailey said. “I was running pretty hard by the end of it. I think it’ll take a little bit to get used to on Friday. Running by yourself is fine. Getting used to running in traffic will be the biggest hurdle. Hopefully we can get the car balanced. If we have the car close I want to get a top five.”
The event can be watched via a live video stream at http://www.ElectricCitySpeedway.TV.
